If you're like I am, you've been thinking of doing the Quantum Leap program but you're not sure if it's worth the money. That's a big chunk of change to most of us.
I decided to do it and to post this blog as I do. I won't be sharing the training since all attendees sign a contract not to, but I'll share enough so you get a flavor of it.
What I did first.
Due diligence. I looked for reviews, scam articles, testimonials, complaints.
I ran the numbers - could I get the same material/training for less?
I ran the numbers on the bonuses - used MY numbers not Steve's.
Here's what I found.

I could find only two and one is offline as I write this.

The one offline had a comment posted by a man who signed up for the program, got cold feet after 5 months and asked for his money back - and Steve Harrison gave it to him.

Bonuses:
Three conferences of 2-3 days each. I give this a $1200 value based on business conferences I've attended. I'm making my values low. A full day with Jack Canfield is probably worth that. I've gotten more out of just one hour with Jack than many half day trainings provide so I'm expecting a lot from the day. Also interaction with other authors/entrepreneurs is worth a lot. $1200
Face to Face with Key Decision Makers: $500
Website or RTIR Ads: I'm going with the ads. You can probably get a good website from http://99designs.com/ for under a thousand dollars. I paid $2000 for mine but I wanted some special features. As for the ads: I like that they write the copy and do some coaching beforehand to get you media ready. The RTIR ads are $3,200.
Four 30 minute one-on-one consultations with a former Oprah guest booker. $200
One-hour consulation package with a nationally recognized image consultant. $200.
I'd make it higher if it was more than just suggestions ie: actual haircut, make-over, shopping trip
Monthly telesminars: $2400 (based on other high end coaching programs I've been in)
Four one-on-one consultations with Steve and/or Bill: $800 again based on other coaching programs
Quantum Leap Marketing Tool Box $300
I figure he probably sells this for about $500-600
Free critiques by Steve/Bill or a specialist on all materials, website and more: $1000
I plan to use them for all of it over and over
Audio/Video of the Million Dollar Author Conference $200
Most guys tape these and resell them for anywhere from $197 to $497. I went low
Publicity Scout for a year $200
Seasonal Pitch Alert $200
Steve and Bill's Golden Rolodex: $200
I'm pretty sure he sells this to the list for about $500
Total Value Training, Conferences and Bonuses: $12,650
I decided it was worth at least as much as he was charging and I get a year of coaching from it. It's not just a one shot seminar or meeting.
I decided to just take the risk. When I signed up, you could come for the first two days of the first three day conference. If you decided it wasn't going to work for you, you could ask for your money back at the end of the second day. I kept that in mind.
My first conference was December 8-10, 2009.

So?? What happened?? I'm dying to know. I'm thinking about signing up for his National Publicity Summit in October, but am hesitant due to the cost. Have you been to this summit as well?

ReplyDeleteI was a member of Quantum Leap 9 and found it to be incredibly worthwhile and my business had grown and made so much more money because of what I learned (and am still learning) there.

Hi~On edge of my seat here! Thanks for sharing your experience - more please. I have been accepted onto the upcoming QL programme but I too am hesitating to leap - because everything Steve does leads you to the next thing to buy (publicity summit to QL, then to another coaching programme, then the shift…) so I am not sure exactly what is included and what is extra and I am not based in America so would love to know if that would be a drawback. What we are all having to do in our decision making is I guess what we will have to do with our own clients too and I'm not convinced I want to close the door on people who can't afford "me" Did you apply Felicia & Johnetta? or are you going to Summit….

DeleteI am a member of Quantum Leap. It is very expensive however it is worth EVERY PENNY if you apply the material. Plus you have access to expert coaches who are there to help you every step of the way. This program should easily pay for itself many times over. Plus you have direct access to Steve and he will answer all of your questions. I absolutely love the program.
